Mission
Main Purpose:
Supports DWE Manager in ensuring workloads are prioritised based on operational and safety demands aligning with business needs. Supports the maintenance teams to trouble shoot complicated issues and ensure maintenance of assets are being done in accordance with quality standards.
You’ll make sure our assets are safe, reliable and compliant, developing your own solutions using your own initiative with guidance from your more experienced peers and superiors. The role involves compliance with metro standards, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to safety and quality requirements throughout the asset lifecycle.
Supporting the procurement teams to provide technical analysis and justification for RFQ’s, development of Bill of Materials, tender input and clarifications, as well as exploring alternative equipment manufacturers to support localisation targets in Saudi Arabia with a focus of improving quality and reducing cost.
Profile
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing oversight for asset maintenance, maintenance planning, asset strategy, predictive and condition-based maintenance for discipline specific systems (DWE)
2. Maintenance planning. Execution of maintenance and repair activities of the relevant equipment according to work plan and maintenance manuals
3. Ensuring quality standards are upheld during maintenance
4. Supporting for hiring, training and assessing team staff, managing ongoing personnel training and development efforts to
5. Support the DWE manager and wider superiors in the technical directorate for Root Cause Analysis & Incident Reporting for faults, failures, incidents and similar
6. Supporting the DWE manager and the wider technical team for the creation, review, modification, approval of maintenance documentation, design drawings, documents
7. Executing and/or supervising complex maintenance activities by own teams or sub-contractors
8. Ensuring the safety of teams, following all safety process, correct use of tooling and similar. Creation and distribution of safety/quality briefs and toolbox talk to the supervisors
9. Supports the maintenance teams to trouble shoot complicated issues and ensure maintenance of assets are being done in accordance with quality standards. Reviewing CMMS logs and attachments to ensure maintenance teams are following good practices
10. Review of change management processes, ensuring all change management processes are thoroughly reviewed to avoid any operational impact
11. Deputising for the DWE manager or Head of Transit Systems and support them in any reasonable requested tasks
Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma (Minimum Requirement)
- Degree in Engineering (Desired)
- Lean / Six Sigma (Desired)
Experience:
5 years of system related experience in the rail/aviation/transportation industry
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a supervisory role
Experience in creating Bill of Materials and being involved in procurement, competitive tenders and providing technical clarifications
Experience in Root Cause Analysis & Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
Experience of building relationships with, and influencing a range of people at all levels within the organisation
Experience of providing input to senior management teams
Experience of analysis and predicting future failures and providing solutions to increase the lifecycle of assets
